POEM STARTER

Write a winter Pantoum.

A pantoum is a poem where each stanza is 4 lines, and the second and fourth line of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next. As this creates a lot of repetition, try to pick a winter theme that would benefit from emphasis of certain lines.

Winter Times

The time has come once more

The pure white from the sky has poured

Covering the ground to create illusions

Ones of timeless creations

The pure white from the sky has poured

Every corner is filled and memories flow

Ones of timeless creations

Filling each with pride

Every corner is filled and memories flow

Remember the times of old

Filled each with pride

Never forgetting the prideful days of past

I love this. Very well done

Winter is my favorite season, so I definitely had to read this art piece. When snow falls, it is the prettiest thing you’ll want to see.

Whether I’m walking to school, sitting by my bedroom window, or snuggling up with a thick blanket on the couch, snow does bring up memorable moments in my head.

I wish to go back in time, because life was a bit simpler and clearer to me then. Only if falling in the snow brought me back in time.

All in all, this was beautiful.

Thanks so much☺️
