I begged and pleaded

Until I had no begging left

And then I ran out of pleading

I do not have a voice even when I try to scream your name

I scraped my way from the cage

But my hands are now broken

And my knees are scraped

My legs can not walk

Or do I have all of this

And you have blind eyes

Deaf ears

No heart

It’s been so long I don’t know which came first

Yet I still beg for your affection

I still beg for your attention

I still beg for you

I still need you

But i am empty now

I’ve given you everything

And I need filled again
