An absolute agony

Storms in me,

Physically pulling prayers

My mouth barely remembers how to speak.

The prayers lack power,

Pure poison promises

I’m losing my mind,

I may never bounce back, just break.

I used to think

That love could fix

Whatever had been broken

Until I watched divorce divide the family I held dear.
