Had I only stepped back and taken a moment to reflect

Maybe I would have realized that my story did not in fact house five whole villains

Not even four

Not even three

Not even two

But one.

To my surprise, it had been me all along.

The conflict, the hate, the grudges

They’d all started within myself

But some blindness took over and I turned all my hurt and hatred for myself

Into fuel to push others away

And maybe even blame them for it

So I sit here now with a broken heart, not only for my past self but for those who were once my friends

Cheesy and cliche as it is, as it was,

I hadn’t even enough love for myself,

Much less others.

I am so sorry, you were not my villains my friends.

You were my heroes, I was just too good within my role.

I am so sorry.
