“CicadaPaw?”
CicadaPaw jumped, turning around as he was about to leave the borders of the ThunderClan territory, but saw his friend TitansPaw behind him with wide, confused eyes with his head tilted.
“Y-Yeah?” CicadaPaw stammered. “Where are you going? You know this is the border line of our territory, right? Are you on a mission or something?” TitansPaw asked.
He bit his lip. /Should I tell him? He is my best friend.. But what if he keeps trying to stop me, or even worse, comes with me? I don’t know../ CicadaPaw thought silently. “I..uh..” He muttered.
“No, BeetleStar tells us when there is a mission, and it’s usually warriors.. No—That can’t be.. You’re not trying to leave, are you? Without telling me?” He gasped.
CicadaPaw sighed, knowing he guessed it. “I thought it would be better for you not to know..” He murmured with his head low.
“CicadaPaw.. I—What made you want to leave.? You looked gloomy most of the time, but I thought you were just quite.. Did you even tell BeeStrike yet!?” TitansPaw cried with worry.
“BeeStrike is the reason I left!” He snapped at the sound of the name. He flicked his tail as his ears went timid. “..What-? What-What do you mean she’s the reason you..left?” TitansPaw murmured with his head down low.
“She over-exhausted me, she made me cross border lines to hunt, she yelled at me about how I was born with rouge blood—“ He stopped, realizing only he, BeeStrike, and BeetleStar knew about him being born as a rouge brought into the clan, like FireHeart, from the old stories, but worse told BeeStrike. She said rouges were ragged fox and mouse-brained idiots who are selfish.
“I—I said too much. I should go.” He sighed, turning around.
“CicadaPaw, wait! We can tell BeetleStar about what she does! I don’t care if your not born in the clan or not! Please, we can sort it out!” TitansPaw begged.
“I’m sorry. I need to go back where I belong.” He mumbled, holding back tears.
“Goodbye, old friend.”
