The Observer

The tides are pulling at each other; working in direct opposition.

I can see the waves swirling and heaving, confused by the gravitational chaos.

The Alignment happens twice a year, the earth and two moons planed in such a manner that gravity is engaged in a vicious clash.

One can feel the earth’s crust rising beneath the feet, creating a new and temporary terrain.

There are The Lovers littering the beach with their skin bared, rolling in the magnetic energy of the black sand and conversing with the mysterious magnetite deposits of the lunar twins.

The shades of skin are mapped with particles that feed their neurotransmitters a healthy dose of dopamine.

The Others remain sheltered; most likely communed in large groups, but not large enough to overpower the magnetic shield conductors which control and guide the flux around the perimeters of the camps.

The Alignment is a time of great juxtaposition: fear and confusion for many; joy and laughter for more.

As a Neutral, I hold my place in this landscape as well. I am an observer. I wield my own power by remaining objective.
