He strolls the pavement, waiting for something

Something to come, like birds that sing

He’s rough on the inside and outside

Waiting for someone to just give him a ride

His heart is cracked, shattered, broken

He never has his time to shine, like a diamond token

No one sees his potential, or gives him a chance

Just strolls along the sidewalk with the same stance

He’s ravenous, unable to fix it

He has no food and is not fit

He’s like the pavement; rough and cracked

He’s also ravenous, there is no food stacked

He gives up
