STORY STARTER
Your friend tells you they always keep a souvenir from every date they’ve been on. You think that’s sweet, until...
Blue Ribbon
The Boy is sad again, I see it in his eyes,
To me he cannot lie, the truth cannot disguise,
For I am dear to him and precious to his heart
Wherever he would go, we never are apart.
The Boy kisses me softly and whisper in my ear:
“Oh, beautiful, it happened my utmost greatest fear…
I told her ‘bout my feelings and she just laughed away,
And left me on the sidewalk with nothing left to say.
So look what I collected from that venomous snake!
An earring with a diamond, don’t worry, it is fake,
Just like her smile, her loving, her words and her embrace!”
The Boy kisses me softly and I caress his face..
The Boy locked me again and never came to see
How sad it was the darkness for he forgot of me…
‘Till one day, when he opened the box I laid within
And took me out in silence, and bruised my layers thin,
To keep me and to love me, The Boy had no desire
And so I’m turned to ashes, devoured by the fire…
I was a silky ribbon, reminder of his first love,
I will forever love him and watch him from above.
The Boy is now a man, The Girl writes poetries
And I am only living inside their memories…
