I'll Love You Till the Sky Falls...

Forest ran across the street into Bear's arms. They both laughed and made their way toward the large doors.

The second they stepped into the building, they were surrounded by a bunch of people that were formerly at their lockers.

"Is the rumor true?"

"Are you guys actually dating?"

"OMG, I think they are!"

"Really?!"

Forest slips halfway behind Bear. He glances back at her and smiles. She nervously smiles back.

Bear raises his voice. "Yes, the rumor is true. We are dating."

Everyone in the crowd gasps and walks off, whispering. Suddenly, the bully walks up to the two of them with a shocked look.

"You guys weren't supposed to say that! That rumor I made up was supposed to ruin your lives!" He exclaimed.

Bear growled angrily. "Too bad for you, we were two steps ahead."

The bully storms away furiously.

Bear grabs Forest's wrist and pulls her to the nearest empty classroom. He quickly locks the door behind them. He doesnt turn the light on, he just slowly approaches Forest and pulls her into him. Forest widens her eyes as he holds her waist. Bear closes his eyes and presses his lips against hers. Forest is so shocked she doesn't move. Bear kept his lips there and the longer he did, the more Forest sank in. She closes her eyes too and puts her hands over his arms.

Suddenly, Bear pulls away and opens his eyes. Forest opens her eyes too.

He grabs her wrist again and pulls her from the classroom back into the hallway, then into their first class. Time seemed to zoom by after that. Forest couldn't get that morning in the classroom with Bear out of her mind all day. When the final bell rang, Forest rushed from the classroom and stood outside the door until Bear came out. When he did, she grabbed his wrist and pulled him all the way to their pond.

Once they reached it, Forest let go and Bear found a fallen trunk to sit on. He didn't look at her.

"What was the morning for? Why'd you kiss me?" Forest demanded.

Bear stayed silent.

"If you're not answering me, I'm leaving." Forest threatened.

Still no answer.

Forest threw her hands up in exasperation and began walking away.

Bear stood up and stopped her. "It was because..." he trailed off.

Forest removed her hat, revealing long, thick black hair, and threw it into the pond.

"What did you do that for? You loved that hat!" Bear exclaimed.

Forest shook her head. "Not more than I love you."

Bear's face turns a bright red. He looks away.

Forest moves his face and kisses him. She closes her eyes and he closes his. Bear holds her waist again. Forest raises her arms and puts them over his shoulders. They slowly begin dancing like this around the clearing. After a while, they remove their lips and press their foreheads together. They continue dancing and stare into each other's eyes. Bear blinks as he takes in her stormy gray eyes. Forest feels like she's drowning in his magnificent blue ones.

Once the moon starts shining its bright light on the ground, the duo breaks apart and heads home. The hat is left behind.

On the way back, Bear and Forest each wonder what it would be like if they...actually got together.
