The cemetery was in fact very foggy. I was alone, but I was always alone anyway. My feet moved across the cold short grass, my rain boots getting damp from the rain earlier today. The gravestones looked so old and time-worn. The sky was turning gray now, the moon not even in sight. It was pretty dark out, but that’s what made the scene ever more fitting and intriguing. The trees had no leaves, and the branches were thin and moving due to the wind.

I shined my flash light, the light illuminating across the whole cemetery. I walked in front of a gravestone. It read “Amanda Li Callum”. I bent down to get a better look, and it also read “Last Words: Please, I’m begging you.” That was kind of creepy, I thought. She must’ve been murdered, or in a difficult situation. I kept walking, noticing all the gravestones said “Last Words”. It eventually got even darker outside, the trees blending in with the sky. I could practically hear the wind in my ears.

One gravestone really caught my attention. It read “Tate L. Rivers”. This gravestone was very dark, like it’s been here for years. I read the last words. But it wasn’t in English. Maybe it was Spanish? It read, “Sono dietro di te. Non voltarti. Ti faró morire, per sempre. Basta scattare e me ne vado. Se non avessi mai letto questo, I’inferno non sarebbe iniziato per te.” I translated the phrase on my phone. I was horrified. I snapped instantly, but then some deformed black-looking creature appeared in front of me and everything turned black. I was now the creature. Sono io.
