Write a story with an unexpected twist.
Consider the length of your story. It does not need to reach the max word limit to include a twist. One sentence can be enough. Consider, too, that a twist is not always a revelation, but can be subtle.
May You Feel My Pain
Bitter…
It’s not a good look.
But I still licked my lips…
And took another sip as I partook.
And I didn’t want to be…
So angry, so irate.
But there was all that give…
And boy did you like to take.
Every last piece of me was yours…
Maybe that was the issue.
I put to much of me into this…
And that’s why there are so many tear stained tissues.
