Once In A Lifetime
I’ve been alive for one thousand, two hundred and thirteen years. I have seen the timeline of the world, seen its rises and falls, beheld its beauty and destruction, but never in my time had I ever seen anything as raw and as otherworldly.
She would be nothing special to most, just another passerby on the street of plenty. Another forgotten story on this lonely planet, on this lonely but busy street.
But she wasn’t just another human, her hair fell around her like a hidden waterfall in the jungle of the Amazon. Her eyes could show you what was beyond the universe. Movements so smooth it was like an untouched beach during the golden hour and a voice that could soothe even the most shell-shocked soldier.
I have been alive for over a thousand years but I never truely lived until I had her, loved her and was loved by her.
Until she couldn’t love me anymore and my old nemesis came to collect another prized possession. Came to break me open and bleed me dry, again.
Except he wouldn’t win this battle, I would win the war the moment he found the both of us together, always together. Forever.
