Mirrored Flames
As I looked into your eyes. I saw my future go up in flames. I pick apart each detail of your face. From your greenish blueish eyes with a speck of brown in the right one, to your chipped apart lips that you bite and pick at when your anxious. When I look at you I can feel the forest fire. It’ll start in my heart and spread like disease to everyone I know. It’ll ruin everything I’ve had that’s good and turn it to ash. But the beautiful thing about forest fires is that it allows for more growth. More change. It allows for something beautiful to happen. When I look at you I know you’re just trying your best. You are trying to contain your forest fire. I must leave now but I’ll see you again when next time I look in the mirror. And while I may see the flames of your forest fire. I will look past it and smell the flowers that will grow on the fresh piece of land that has become.
