Can be burning hot or cold as ice,

Water is a key to life.

Filling ponds, lakes, rivers and oceans,

Can be calm and cool or cause violent commotion.

Sometimes clear, others murky,

It can cleanse as well as leave things dirty.

A cool refresher for when you get thirsty.

Falling from the heavens, it helps the plants grow

Take a nice long shower, wash from head to toe.

Still water is a mirror

That is no question, though

Some can’t stand

to see their own reflection.

Moving tides of highs and lows,

See how deep this water goes.
