I wanted to change

I wanted to make me look like myself

They wouldn’t let me

They wouldn’t accept me

Their words burned

Worse than fire ever could

So I ran

I ran away in the night

And though I’ll miss my house

And feel just a hint of grief

For the friends I once had

I won’t return

Because the people I knew are gone

Replaced by the ones who won’t understand

Note: definitely not my best work. I had an idea but it kinda got lost once we got to the actual running away part. So, yeah.
