You hug me tight in a warm embrace, You kiss my lips for my favorite taste, You hold my hand to keep you near me, And I keep you close to stop feeling weary, I kiss your forehead as you look above, Into my eyes knowing that your touch is love I make you breakfast when you wake, I tuck you in when you fall asleep, I open the door and pull out the chair, To show you how much I care, Sometimes love it makes me nervous, So I show love from acts of service Today we went out to the park, We talked about our future, Our dreams and our past, We got to know how much we can laugh, With the longest conversation, Being that we will last, Knowing you’re there with me makes love sublime, Because all the money in the world, Can’t buy quality time Today was your birthday so I got you a gift, One that shows the memories, Of how long we’ve been bliss, It might’ve been expensive, But there’s no price and no cost, That compares to you wearing the diamond bracelet, And that smile receiving a gift of my love But this poem I write it’s only for you, How you’re beautiful and lovely, A perfect dream that came true, How the only words I can think, Would just leave me in awe, When I see your smile shine like the sun, You’re my whole inspiration, Words of affirmation can’t compare to your draw
