POEM STARTER
Using twelve stanzas, write a poem about each month of the year.
The Months Of The Year
January
Snow and tears A brand new year Seasonal depression is my new fear
February
Loneliness or love
The years yet to decide
Whether you love to live
Or wish to die
March
Spring rolls in Along with the flowers Tired from school In my room for hours
April
Rain and water
In supply
A little less salt
From tears cried
May
On the brink On the horizon The freedom I seek Comes with schools end
June
Start of the summer
Fresh drink of sun
The heat is a bummer
But swimming is fun
July
Yippie America Let’s blow things up Family reunion Grandkids line up 🫡
August
Back to my prison
They refer to as school
Outfit decisions
Try to look cool
September
Its rather fall Or way to hot The rest of the month I’ll sit here and rot
October
Schools still in session
And everything’s spooky
Yay Halloween
Dress up with my pookie
November
Pumpkin spice And everything nice Be grateful and kind Even to your mind
December
It’s Christmas
The whole month round
Except when it’s New Years
The firework sound
Then we start it all over
Again and again
Trapped in the cycle
Until our end
