But I can see his side

Yenno besides the whole

‘Let all the glory be mine’

It makes a lot of sense

To do away with free will

The moment we got agency

Everything went downhill

You’d think intelligent beings

Would use their power of choice

To make all people equal

To give everyone a voice

Instead it seems that humans try

To go out of their way

To be more evil than thought possible

To pillage and to slay

You really can’t assume

That anyone has good intentions

There’s someone on your block right now

So starving for attention

They’d comit some heinous act

Seen in the news tomorrow

In their police interview

They won’t show one hint of sorrow

The moment that you think

People can’t get worse than _that_

You see something even wickeder

That makes your heart go flat

They keep inventing brand new ways

To torture, rape and steal

It’s like we learned how to make choices

But forgot how to love and feel

That’s why I understand

The point the devil had to make

If you give human beings agency

There’s just too much at stake

I’d much rather be a robot

With no choices of my own

Than live in this wretched hellscape

That I have to call my home
