STORY STARTER
Being the Key Bearer was a difficult job, but it came with its benefits…
Key of my heart
Do you see them? They all came
With their bright eyes and high expectations,
With their open hearts and beautiful smiles.
Can you see them? They all left.
Do you know them? They all wanted in
To ignite the warmth, to restore the sunshine,
To embrace the goodness, to cast out the fears.
Could you know them? They all wanted out.
There is no one inside and nor it’ll ever be.
I play my skillful games, I let them think they’re winning.
And now you come to tell me that you just stole the key?
And you expect to barge in, to walk inside it free?
The Bearer of the Key, that’s me - and I’ll be fine.
So difficult it is, but comes with benefits.
I guard my loneliness, still waiting for a sign
That this cold, weary heart one day will start to shine…
So leave like all of them! The Key is only mine!
