The silent whispering, started right after the last class

There was to be a contest, with a trophy made of glass

Cards and reports of mayhem, swam around the school

Who will win and claim, the yearly prize that’s really cool

Is it baseball sports, or an award winning musical play

The questions travel around my ears, that school day

Things were staying, very teenage like kind happy talk

Until I heard bad plans, about a hammer and a walk
