WRITING OBSTACLE
Write about a place only by describing what is not there.
Usually it is important to note the things that are present in an environment – so try focusing on the abscences to see if we can envisage your setting.
A Separate Place
You shouldn’t find glass here. No bottles of beer or wine. And in many places here, there aren’t any cars when you look left or right.
There might not be dogs catching frisbees or humans throwing volleyballs when it is dark and cold. During the day, there isn’t much clothes or shoes here either. And when it’s raining, you won’t find anyone here at all.
But more than that, this is a place where you won’t find chaos. Amongst humans, you shouldn’t find violence or rage or anger. This is a place without hateful noise, conflict, and war.
Here lacks a hideousness. It is not offensive or evil. So tell me, do you know where or what kind of place I am?
