a shade of green,

that reminds me of morning dew,

in the middle of spring.

vibrant colors, and evidence of life

for as far as the eye can see

i swear the clock stops

mesmerized

when those pale green eyes

land on mine,

reminding me that i’m alive.

it’s impossible to look away,

the rest of the world fades to grey,

i can’t find any words to say.
