POEM STARTER
Submitted by Margaret Sok
“You’ve come back, but I no longer need you.”
Write a poem or short story including this line.
Arrogance, Annoyance.
I moved on,
I moved away,
I thrived with others,
When you weren’t here to stay.
You screwed up,
Arrogance in new height,
You thought you made a point,
But you were far from being right.
Then you retort,
‘It’s what you “had” to do’,
Though you brought people down,
When they had a tiny query about you.
It’s kinda funny,
How “superior” you seem,
While I’m sitting here, angry,
Wishing it was all a poor dream,
As you ruined it all,
And you know it too,
Yes, you’ve come back,
But I no longer need you.
