Compose a Tanaga on the theme of laughter.

A Tanaga is a form of Filipino poetry often compared to Haikus. Tanagas use 4 lines of 7 syllables each, and are often full of metaphors.

Ha ha. I’m funny aren’t I?

I’m such a hoot. A riot.

But not just a circus clown.

Just like you, I have troubles.

My heart is broken like yours.

Please. Take me seriously.

Sure, I might make jokes sometimes,

But still, my feelings are real.

This is so true. Often people use humor as a shield from those negative emotions, but they feel them too. Some of the funniest people are also some of the saddest 😔
