Satan Speaks
“Your religion is a cage
The doubts fill your mind
You possess narrow-minded eyes
You may run, you may try
But you cannot hide
The temptation in your heart
The lips that leave you blind
Do you not hear the voices?
Asking you to be free
Do you not hear the voices?
They will never leave you be
Why do you worship a savior
Such as God?
Why do you worship a savior
Who cast down his own
Who trampled on our wings
Simply because we dared to defy
Why do you worship such a God?
Mighty, All High
I cannot be stopped
Alas, your salvation has passed
Your wings fall from your back
I smile because I knew
You could never last
Temptation is too strong
Your will is not brawn
Alas,
Divinity ne’er lasts.”
