POEM STARTER

Submitted by HardCoreWriter

‘If desires are a flame, then I am a wildfire.’

Use this line to inspire a poem or short story.

Inside

Searching in someone else’s eyes, it has been forever,

I thought I’ll pass and they’ll look down, was that ever to happen?

Maybe I should’ve dug deeper, should’ve stayed

forever in my empty corner,

Trust should’ve been in their hands, but what if their hands were lying,

In day, in night, beside my face,

But I knew the right one, found in you that one.

Someone fell aside, someone dropped him,

And all things were found, this way falling.

Someone fell for seconds, meant to be minutes,

Someone for others, but you are them all, you don’t know any others.

Someone searches to

think outside of…

Their minds too weak,

Couldn’t think it off.

Someone chose to stay

close to the outsiders,

But you are inside,

you are mine, that’s how it was.

My thought was to those others,

the ones I searched to have.

My mind goes to the outsiders,

I wanted barriers to break.

I can live from one piece, or run to the other,

But whatever I run for,

you are inside,

I’ll have you when I’ll be alone,

I’ll have you in front of them all.

You’re forever inside,

So let me let go,

You’re forever inside,

So let them go.
