Write a Somonka from the perspectives of two lovers. A Somonka is made of two Tankas, with the second responding to the first.

A tanka consists of five lines with a syllabic structure of 5-7-5-7-7

Heat

My darling lover,

How I wish to hold you close.

Remind me again,

Why is it that you lay so,

So far away with me here.

My doting lover,

How I do care for you so.

But this summer heat,

Surely it has me beat and

Your form emits more indeed!
