Blue Skies

Blue skies

Over blue waters,

And dogs with blue collars.

Clashing with the deep blue shades

Of my soul.

Blue curtains

Hanging over blue bedsheets,

Decorated with blue butterflies.

Clashing with the watery ‘blue’

Of my tears.

Blue headphones

Next to blue loading screens,

And blue text we’re not meant to see.

Clashing with the questionably blue eyes

Of my ignorant family.

Blue cars

With old blue radios,

And blue warning lights we always ignore.

Clashing with the blue a colourblind person sees

When everything come backs to bite us.

Blue bars

In predominantly blue playgrounds,

Where kids’ bodies turned blue with sores.

Clashing with the blue flowers

Their parents leave at their graves.

Blue knife handles

Against blue veins,

Escorted by memories blurred in blue.

Clashing with those blue butterflies,

Those blue skies,

Those blue collars,

Those blue headphones,

Those blue loading screens,

Those blue radios,

Those blue playgrounds,

My blue soul.
