POEM STARTER
Fire and Flames
Write a poem where fire is the central theme, whether this be physical or a metaphorical burning.
Fire Child
Walk through the fire
The flames will only burn you if you fear the fire
The burn only hurts if your afraid of the pain
You must walk into your fears
Embrace your tears
Burn every part of yourself to the ground
What matters will still be around
Around we go running from the flames
Afraid the fire will hurt
We must become the ashes
To understand the burn
There’s beauty in new beginnings
But we must first burn down the old curses
Don’t get caught up in the Adamic illusion
Don’t bite the apple
Don’t let humanity hold you in it’s grapple
Your spirit knows what’s best for you
Sometimes everything has to be burnt to the ground for a flower to bloom in its place
If you do bite the apple
Does the apple have a taste?
And if it does, what do you taste?
Is it poison or love?
Can you taste the burn or was it all it illusion?
What’s your conclusion?
