POEM STARTER
Write a series of three haikus about different aspects of something you love.
Haikus have the syllabic form of 5, 7, 5 syllables per line. Consider how you could use multiple Haiku to create a three-dimensional portrait of your chosen thing.
Stars
The sky’s mystery
shining down and over me
Embracing my soul
They never see flaws
And ignore past misfortunes
Love like a mother
I can’t quite reach them
But I can see them just fine
Though they aren’t mine
