The Big Pay Day

God I’m so nervous I can’t believe this is actually happening. He made me wait for what feels like a life time and just when I gave up all hope he did it.

Marry me? He said and of course I said yes. I did the whole crying thing to sell my performance.

I’m finally gonna get my money. I will just play along for about a year and maybe one day he will accidentally fall or something. Then all the money is mine.

Any minute now I’m gonna have to walk down the aisle and say I do. Deep breath in deep breath out. The music start which means it’s time. I start walking with my shoulders back head held high and a big smile plastered on my face. I’m trying to focus on not falling in these shoes that are basically killing my feet.

I’m a few steps from him walking on the white silk laid on the floor for me. Everything looks so beautiful and dazzling. All thanks to me and my preparations, what can I say I like to spend money. Nothing can go wrong, but just then there is his stupid little mutt standing right next to him. With a little bow tie and everything. He calls that big beast his best friend. I tried to convince him to get rid of the thing but he claims it was a present from his dead mommy. As soon as Ethan is gone the hairy beast is going with him.

As soon I think the words the dog comes charging toward me as if it heard my words. I don’t think fast enough and he jumps up on me knocking me off balance. I hit my head hard and I lose it right then and there. Every word I can think of in the book comes spilling out of my mouth. I have put up with this for to long. Everything and I mean everything comes right out my mouth before I can stop myself.

When I’m finished everyone and everything is silent. I sit up off the ground and look at Ethan who is frozen to the spot with a look I’ve never seen before and then he is off with that stupid dog trailing behind him. He walks straight out the church doors with my future.

GOD I HATE THAT STUPID DOG!!!
