The chest was ordinary. The lock long broken. When I opened it a musty smell escaped, let wet forest floor. Inside there were acorns and different collections of moss. A small stone with a hole neatly through the centre. Under the moss, very carefully placed, a set of the most iridescent wings….I guess the stories were true…
