Love Is The Lie That Keeps Us Alive
In this game of life, we play our part,
We paint a pretty picture, a work of art.
You're the storm, and I’m the sea,
You’re the hurricane inside of me.
With every tender word, you light a spark,
But in your silence, I'm left in the dark.
A flickering candle in a cavern vast,
Hoping to see beyond your mask.
You're the siren's call, I'm the sailor lost,
Drawn to the rocks, no matter the cost.
A dance on the edge of a razor's blade,
In the cradle of chaos, our bed is made.
We're a beautiful song, with a broken chord,
A harmony that can't be restored.
i’m the moth, and you’re the flame,
You draw me in, I must love the pain.
For here I stand, in the faded light,
Holding on with all my might.
In this twisted, sweet charade,
Where memories of love are forever replayed.
I suppose it never hurts to dream,
As crazy, to some, as it may seem.
At least for now, I know I’ll survive
For love is the lie that keeps us alive.
