Terry the Country Cockroach
I walked through my house
And I heard a faint noise
For a bug was in here
Near that bin with the toys
I looked around
With a net in my hand
For I had an idea
For I had a plan
The bug came out
And I jumped back in fear
For a roach just came out
Something to scare
The roach looked at the net
And it cowered away
That’s when I realized
Why am I afraid
I get on my knees
And stick out my arm
The roach approaches
It doesn’t mean any harm
The roach is my pet
And I named it Terry
I bought it a country hat
That it is constantly wearing
And I know its peculiar
A country roach as a pet
And one named Terry
But why should I fret
What if I’d squished it
It makes me so glad
What if I’d sprayed it
Then I would be sad
So sometimes you should try
And maybe find a friend
For this is my pet
Terry the country cockroach til the end
