The Revelation
Write a poem with a structured rhyme scheme, using this as the title.
The Revelation
Time stands still in the moments of dread,
When regrets, loss, and words not said,
Mistakes puncture the existence of time,
All in slow motion, a never ending crime,
Haunting the mind is the ‘should of’ and ‘if only’,
Never allowing peace and leaves one so lonely,
The rest of days, tormented with guilt and shame,
Anger and bitter, who is the one to blame?
Suddenly, something comes flooding in,
It’s called, Revelation and it’s bringing the end,
Revelation comes quickly, in a twinkle of an eye,
Destroying every chain, every burden and every nasty lie.
Revelation of the the truth, hope, peace and joy,
Revelation of forgiveness, crushing the enemy’s ploy.
Now to see flash of days surpassing quickly by
Leaving memories of cherished moments and love fills the sky.
