nice shot!

my coach and my team

girls practicing and stretching

green all around me

I take a long breath

the bright smell of fresh cut grass

fills my nose and heart

whoosh! as the ball soars

clink! as my ball hits the pin

nice shot! they tell me

the sweat on my palms

the short grass against my knee

as I read the break

a granola bar

to give me more energy

and minty lip balm
