Climbing the mountain

Hiking up its trails

Swimming in its rivers

Slipping on mud

And tumbling down

But regaining your footing

And continuing your journey

Acquiring a pebble in your shoe

So you calmly sit down and extract it

Or you get so angry with this annoying little rock

That you completely throw your shoe off the mountain

And you walk in shoeless.

You never reach the top of the mountain

Because the mountain is ever growing

Ever expanding

Ever learning

And so are you
