Cannot be as simple as all the movies say

“It’s like pulling a baindaid off”

Even though it feels closer to stepping on a stage

Anxiously watching the curtains open

Thousands of eyes watching, waiting for you to slip.

I didn’t slip

But I know I’ve fallen
