POEM STARTER

Ice Skating
Write a poem which could have this as the title. Consider that it might not literally be about ice-skating.
Ice Skating
Devils were laughing
- oh, how they laughed! -
throwing snowballs and lies
into your path.
βSheβs such a good girl!
So strong inside!
With such a big heart
thatβs made of ice.
She said herself,
She is The Lake,
the Frozen Lake!
Why donβt you go
ice skating?
What is so wrong?
What harm is done,
if you just play
a little bit?β
Surprise, surprise,
You broke the ice!
Devils were laughing
- oh, how they laughed! -
Throwing fireballs and pain
upon your soul.
βSheβs such a good girl!
So strong inside!
With such a big heart
thatβs made of fire,
a hidden fire,
under the ice!
She said herself,
Sheβs The Volcano,
The Burning Flame!
We know it well,
this heart of hers
- kingdom of dark,
kingdom of blaze -
For we all reign
Inside.β
