Mother

The vile stench of roting food entered her lungs. Loosing the remaining warmth of her wilting body, she grew numb. Unfazed, ready and anticipating for death’s call, her back against the cold and inviting marble. This was it. No more will she feel the warmth of burning fire. No more will she hear the soft sound of her children’s laughter. No more will she gaze upon their muddied yet beaming faces. As she took her last breath with a heavy heart, air filling her lungs. She realized that no more will she live to be a _Mother_.
