That color of gray

But it’s a feeling of calmness

All night and all day

It’s the color of the clouds

As they fly so high

It’s the feeling love

And warm goodbyes

Sometimes it’s melancholy

But it’s an emotion you still feel

The feeling of stillness

Just before sleep

The color of words

And wise old hair

Gray isn’t boring

It’s anything but that

So remember this next time

You feel kind of splat
