I’m thankful that the weekend is only passed half way

Today I worked and so it felt more like a weekday

I’m thankful that I went out with friends tonight

Having dinner and drinks with them sure was a delight

I’m thankful that I can go home now to sleep and rest

After an active day, coming home sure is the best

I’m thankful that I have a free day tomorrow waiting for me

That I have no plans so that it’s still a surprise how tomorrow will be

I’m thankful for all the good things and loving people in my life

I’m thankful to be alive
