Just So You Know

Just so you know, it’s not easy to say

This feeling of mine wants to set itself free

And my conscience be clear of this cloud.

Just so you know, despite my intentions

There’s a grip in my chest, a tight squeeze

Comes from all of my sins, I’m not proud.

Just so you know, the truth should be healing,

But my heart is broken, past what it should be

I’m terrified to say this out loud

Just so you know, I’ll love you forever

I confess, I’m not perfect, not little me,

But with a perfect love I’ve been endowed

Just so you know, it’s ok to dismiss,

You just say the word and I’ll quietly leave

Knowing I’ve kept the small promise I vowed.
