‘Its hard to be inconspicuous when you’re hanging upside down.’
That quick thought went through my head, as I hung from the gutter
Our old sturdy house was solid, cement attachment is what I mutter
My morning idea after coffee, was to clean the leave filled strip of the home
Got the heavy silver metal ladder, and up I went realizing that I was alone
My climb was no problem and soon I reached the top, and so I took a step
Up the roof to turn around and start my job, I crawled back down no prep
The heel of my new construction slid, and I spun around in a twist and fell
Hit my body against the roof, and proceeded to grab a gutter what the hell
So here I am hanging like a holiday ornament, birds flying by looking at me
Then my kind neighbor came over, and she nicely moved the ladder you see
