Fall Rises

He parts the shroud of cloudy night at dawn

To light the changing colors of her trees.

She’s autumn’s child, who paints these leaves with ease

And he provides the warmth while they hold on.

Some leave to drape the lap of summer’s lawn.

Some choose to ride an early morning breeze.

Each sunrise serves my every sense with ease,

And fall holds many reasons I count on.

I’ve lost the need to bask in noonday’s heat

And eve’ning serves to overshadow dreams

Each morning serves like angels of elite

That wakes new sense of life with autumn scenes

Just like a lighthouse serves those in defeat

Let sunrise swiftly serve up joyful themes.
