The Blunje
Many people don’t consider it a true musical instrument, but the blunje has actually been around for longer than many traditional instruments. This unique instrument is hardly common knowledge, and very few people around the world play it.
In terms of appearance, the blunje is somewhat difficult to describe. It may be classified as a woodwind, but experts have called it a mix of a kalimba, a theremin, and bagpipes.
As for where the blunje originated, nobody knows for sure. One expert has speculated that it may have been sent by aliens. While this theory is almost unanimously shot down, the only other prevalent theory is that it resulted from a clash of cultures.
The sound produced by the blunje produces a problem in the tiny community. The fourteen people that answered our poll added that the more one listens to it, the more they can hear. Apparently, if a person listens to the blunje for more than six hours total, they begin to hear additional melodies that play within the main melody. However, this makes it more difficult to describe the sound of the blunje.
In conclusion, the blunje is an amazing, confusing instrument. If you see somebody playing one, I would personally advise that you stop and listen for a while.
