Talking with the Devil

Hey, Mr. Devil,

You said you'd take my soul to a better place

What I've learned since then is that you fell from grace

No treasures in this world that I can see

Hell is a better place for you than for me

Your promises were empty, your words a snare

You sought to chain me, but I'm breaking free from your lair

Your darkness can't consume me, I've found the light

And I'll rise above your evil, and shine with all my might

So keep your hellish treasures, your lies and your pain

I'll choose the path of righteousness, and never fall again

For I know that true wealth lies in a heart that's pure and true

And that's something you'll never have, Mr. Devil, that's something you’ll never do.

— The last two paragraphs Ai helped out. My brain was kaput and I didn't know how to complete the poem. On all of my other poems I haven't used AI just wanted you to know.

Also I'm a Christian, but thought this topic was interesting.
