Swirled Together, Swept Away
I fall on my knees at your feet
like a wave
crashing onto the shore
Yours, eternally yours
but kept still
By my own heavenly body
Leaning in to caress yours
So when I pull away
I can linger on your skin
Washing over you
so I can hold on a moment longer
And washing away
so you’ll reminisce on how it felt
To have me wrapped around your ankles
Gently
Push and pull
Destined to meet
again and again
To ebb and flow
Swirled together
And swept away
One day we all return to the stars
I wonder if yours is next to mine
I’d visit you all the time
