Wallflower
Drunken nights and dramatic fights
Rule their sophmore years
Aggressive kissing
Sexual misgivings
Are all that they can bear
I live on the edges
So uninvolved
I’m not part of their silly groups
I’m not part of their resolve
But sometimes on winter nights
In the middle of summer
When the sky is darker than ever
As the moon shines its swollen belly
I stare at my reflection and realise
I don’t have want to stick out like a weed in a field of wildflowers
