POEM STARTER

Life in Your Hands

Write a poem or short story about if you were death and had to choose each day who must die.

death & justice

Sometimes I wonder

If it should be my choice

My responsibility to decide

Who lives and who dies?

Such a big task

The weighing of hearts,

Bearing the burden of justice,

I’m starting to feel the cracks

Im horrid, Wretched

Causer of tears

Empty of feeling,

But who am I if not feared

Hades,

Yama,

Osiris

Odin

Many names but one choice

I am the grim reaper

Who chooses

Who lives and dies
